Amy Diane Cornett, 45, of Evarts went home to be with the Lord on Monday, April 17, 2023, at the Hazard ARH.  Amy was born on December 21, 1977 in Bell County.  She was a lifelong resident of Evarts and had worked at the Evarts Library.  Amy was a graduate of Evarts High School and an active member of the Yocum Creek Baptist Church.

She is survived by her parents, Bob Cornett and Linda Pryor Cornett, Evarts; her sister, Cindy Cornett Gaw and husband, Troy, Rosspoint; three nieces, Hannah Gaw Rutherford and husband, Brendan, Hailey Gaw and Abigail Gaw; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, other family and friends, including a special friend, Hettie Lyttle.

Her visitation will be held Thursday, April 20, 2023, in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home from 5 until 7 pm with funeral services beginning at 7.  Troy Gaw and Pastor Gerald Jones will officiate.

Her burial will be Friday at 11 am at Evarts Memorial Gardens with her uncles and cousins serving as pallbearers.
