Betty Jo Wynn, 81, of Jones Creek, departed this life on Sunday, September 11, 2022, at her home. Born March 25, 1941 in  Harlan County, she had lived here all of her life. Betty was a homemaker, enjoyed watching game shows, word search puzzles, flowers, her cats and swinging on her porch.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Walter Wynn; her parents, Polly Dean Jones and Chad Jones; three sons, Jason, Tim and Scott "Buck" Wynn; her grandparents, Sudie and Byrd Dean; and two brothers, Jimmy and Lawrence Jones.

Survivors include five children, Lisa Stewart and husband, Preston, Jones Creek; Valerie Cochran and husband, Jeff, Dizney; Walter Wynn and wife, Lisa, Jonesville, VA; Mary Garland and husband, Craig, Dione; and Rona Smith and husband, James, Dizney; one sister, Kansas Absher, Jones Creek; 21 grandchildren, 46 great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Monday from 5 until 9 pm at the Church of the Living God at Jones Creek.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 13, 2022, at 2 pm at the Church of the Living God at Jones Creek with the Reverend Paul Dean officiating.

Her burial will be in the Wynn Family Cemetery at Jones Creek with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
