Billy Ray Robbins, Sr., 66, of Cawood departed this life on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at the Harlan ARH.  Born August 9, 1956, he was a lifelong resident of Cawood.  He was a retired coal miner and attended the Riverside Church of God.  He enjoyed working on cars, raising cattle and riding his grandbabies on his Razor.

Billy is preceded in death by his parents, Oatis Robbins and Opal Smith Robbins; two children, Karen Crystal Robbins and Rodney Robbins; a brother, Otis Robbins, Jr.; and three sisters, Debbie Mays, Lorene Welch and Doreen Mason.

He is survived by his wife of almost 49 years, Debra Rolfes Robbins, Cawood; three children, Billy "BJ" Robbins, Jr., Donna Jo Collins and Angel B. Robbins, all of Cawood; a sister, Carolyn Perry and husband, Roger, Corbin; and a brother, Richard Robbins and wife, Phyllis, Evarts.  Also surviving are two granddaughters, Alyssa Collins and his very special one, Kylie Collins; two great-grandchildren, Josie Metcalfe and Wesley Nathan Metcalfe; and a host of other family and friends, including special friends, Ken Noe, George Grubbs, Howard Griffith and his wife, and Paul Swanson.

His visitation will be held Monday, May 29, 2023, at the Riverside Church of God at Cawood beginning at 1 pm with funeral services to follow at 3 pm.  The Reverend Franklin Stewart and Brother Glen Muncey will officiate.

His burial will follow in the Robbins Family Cemetery at Cawood with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
