Bobbie Jean
Knoll
Mar 29, 1936 — Aug 9, 2024
Cumberland
Bobbie Jean Feltner Knoll, 88, of Cumberland, KY, passed away unexpectedly on August 9, 2024, surrounded by family in Lexington, KY.
Born March 29, 1936, in London, KY to Robert and Delora Feltner, Bobbie Jean devoted her life to her family. She was a loyal wife to her husband of 43 years, Dazo Robert, and the proud mother of three boys: Dazo Robert, Jr., Michael, and Alexander. She believed in the Catholic faith and attended St. Stephens Church. She was active in the Women's Club of Harlan, KY, and the local food bank.
She will be fondly remembered by her smile, laughter, and love for others. She was a strong woman with a soft heart, which she needed to raise three stubborn boys. Perpetually selfless, Bobbie Jean would always send care packages home with visitors, whether it was needed or not. She prayed for everyone she loved, some a little more than others. She will live on in the memories of her family, "camel walking" through the kitchen, baking bread, and making cabbage rolls, and proudly serving ice cream to her grandchildren before breakfast for 40 years at Mamaw's Ice Cream Parlor.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Dazo Robert Knoll, her son, Dazo Robert Knoll, Jr., brothers Everett and Eddie, and sisters Ruth, Thelma, and Martha.
She leaves her family to cherish her memory: sons Michael (Megan) Knoll of Versailles, KY, and Alexander (Chris-Ann) Knoll of Nashville, TN; brothers: Ralph, Burford, and Paul; sisters: Mable, JoyceAnn, and Fannie; grandchildren: Christa, Jonathan, Margaret, Carolyn, Landon, and Camille; great-grandchildren: Emma, Henry, Daulson, Samuel, and Weston; and countless other family and friends.
You may visit with the family at Tri City Funeral Home, 506 Holly Street, Benham, KY, on Friday, August 16, 2024, between 5 and 7 pm, followed by prayer and rosary. Visiting hours will also be held Saturday, August 17, 2024, from 10 to 11 am at the Church of the Resurrection, Lynch, KY. The funeral will begin at 11:00 am with Father Anthony Muththu officiating. Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery.
