Ms. Bonnie Louise Short Huff, age 75, of Closplint, KY, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, March 31, 2023, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital.

Bonnie was born in Harlan on November 20, 1947, to Eula May Harris and Otis Short. She was a homemaker, who was happiest when surrounded by her loving family. She loved sitting on her porch in her rocking chair watching the cardinals eat from her bird feeder. Bonnie always enjoyed her flowers, especially red roses.  She had a passion for collecting what-nots and souvenirs, which took up every available space in her home. Bonnie was a long-time member of the Closplint Church of God.

Bonnie was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years, Doyle Huff; her mother, Eula Harris; her father, Otis Short; a daughter, Vanessa Huff Bishop; a sister, Denise Shuler; and two brothers, Buck and Buddy Short.

Left to cherish her memory are her three children: son, Otis Huff, daughter Angelia Crocker, and son, Stacy Huff and wife, Misty, all of Closplint; one sister, Barbara Sizemore of Harlan; one brother, Troy Short of Closplint; eight grandchildren: Cory (Courtney), Summer, Luke, Bentley, Matt, Josh (Kristy), Mara (Gary), Sam (Ryan); ten great-grandchildren: Noah, Olivia, Charlie, Ivy, Bailey, Carter, Conner, Rylee, Jocelyn, Isiaih; a host of extended relatives as well as many dear friends.

Visitation for Ms. Bonnie will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023, at the Closplint Church of God from 5:00-8:00. Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 4, at 1:00pm, at the church. Reverend Steve Sizemore, Reverend Frank Howard, and grandson, Luke Huff will be officiating.

Ms. Bonnie will be laid to rest beside her husband, Doyle, at the Evarts Memorial Gardens.
