Brandon Jones, 42, of Newport, TN, formerly of Highsplint, departed this life on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.  Born June 21, 1984 in Sidney, Ohio, he was a salesperson in retail sales.  While living at Highsplint he had attended the Closplint Church of God. Brandon was an avid motorcyclist and enjoyed four wheeling in the mountains of Harlan County.  He loved his family dearly.

He is preceded in death by his father, Paul Jones.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Turner Rush of Piqua, Ohio; three sisters, Peggy Napier and husband, Tim, Newport, TN; Teresa Gibbons and husband, Leon, Grays Knob, KY; and Crystal Rush, Piqua, OH; four brothers, Jimmy Hogue and Johnny "Tike" Hogue, both of Sidney, OH; Shane Johnson and wife, Julia, Piqua, OH; and Dustin Rush of DeGraff, OH;  a special niece, Tiffany Turner and her daughter, Autumn Shultz; a special nephew, T.J. Napier, his wife, Taylor, and their children, Elena Smith and Leona Napier.; and a host of other nieces and nephews including Libby and Keith Lockwood, Alex and Adam Gibbons, Shawn Greer, Bobby and Jimmy Hogue, Amanda Hogue, Chelsea Hunt, Josie Hogue, Skylar, Savannah, Rowen Johnson and Gabriel Shultz.

His visitation will be held Friday, July 10, 2026, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 3 pm with his funeral service to follow at 5 pm with Reverend Steve Sizemore officiating.
