Charlene Kelly, 70, of Closplint passed away Thursday, September 26, 2024, at her home. Born April 25, 1954, she was a lifelong resident of Harlan County. Charlene had been a caregiver all of her life, caring for her grandmother, her mother and then her siblings. She enjoyed sewing and cooking and believed in Baptist faith.

Charlene is preceded in death by her mother, Imogene Caudill Kelly; and her sister and brother-in-law, Viola and Danny Moore.

She is survived by four brothers, Curtis, Charles, Sammy and George Kelly all of Closplint; a niece, Tracey Tucker and husband, Jacob, Kingswood, TX; and two nephews, Travis Moore and wife, Erica, Baxter; and Josh Kelly, Pikeville.

Visitation for Charlene will be held Tuesday, October 1, 2024, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 12 noon with funeral services to follow at 2 pm. The Reverend Travis Moore will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her family and friends serving as pallbearers.
