Charles E. Kirby, Jr., 69, of Highsplint passed away Wednesday, January 25, 2023, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital of a sudden illness.  Born August 24, 1953 in Toledo, OH, he was a disabled veteran having served in the U.S. Army.  Charles enjoyed spending time in nature and believed in the Lord, his Savior.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Charles E. Kirby, Sr. and Iris Joan Grogan Kirby; and two brothers, Bobby Lee Kirby and David Kirby.

Survivors include a son, Matt Yates, Toledo, OH; three sisters, Lawana Napier, Highsplint; Alice Durfey, Evarts; and Kelly Roges, Virginia; a brother, Randy Kirby and wife, Debbie, Toledo, OH; a grandson, Matthew Raymond Yates; three great-grandchildren, Emily Ann, Iris and Maverick Xavier Yates; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends, including special friends Jessie Creech and Michael Yates.

Per his request, he will be cremated with no services planned.
