Christopher Darrell Hall, 37, of Baxter, passed away Thursday, September 7, 2023, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident at Cranks. Chris was born on May 28, 1986 in Harlan and had lived here all of his life.  He was a coal miner employed by JRL Coal Company.  He had worked as a miner for 15 years and really enjoyed his job.  He believed in the Pentecostal faith.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Gregory Jason Curry; and his grandfather, J.C. Hall.

Survivors include his wife, Karlee Lawson Hall, Baxter; his father, Gregory Hall, Evarts; his mother, Sarah Jones Risner, Evarts; six children, Chloe Hall and Harley Hall, both of Kenvir; Troy Lawson, Baxter; Christopher Nathan Hall, Emma Hall and Jace Hall, all of Baxter; a sister, Amanda Brock and husband, Donald, Kenvir; his grandmother, Virginia Hall, Evarts; an aunt, Dorothy Smith, Kenvir; his brother-in-law, Kraig Lawson, Dryden, VA; and a host of other family and friends.

His visitation will be held at the Evarts Funeral Home Sunday from 5 until 8 pm and Monday from 11 am until the funeral hour of 1 pm.  The Reverend Clarence Floyd and the Reverend Bill Moore will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
