Crystal Erline Allison, age 84, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, October 29, 2022. She was born in Yancey, KY on January 2, 1938 to the late James and Sally McCreary Carter. Crystal was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith. Her favorite past times were reading and listening to country music. Her all time favorite television show was General Hospital. All who knew Crystal and how much she loved her show knew not to bother her while she was watching. She was very fond of her Britton Snuff.

Crystal is preceded in death by her parents, James and Sally Carter; her husband, Charles H. Allison; two daughters: Shirley Diane Allison and Rebecca Lynn Allison; three brothers: James, David and Thomas Carter; and a sister, Katie Bonita Carter.

Crystal leaves to cherish her memory her four children: Charles T. Allison and wife, Jolene, of Benham; Raymond L. Allison and wife, Tina, of Mississippi; James M. Allison and wife, Sandi, of Benham; Jo Ann Mallon and husband, Dan, of South Carolina; two granddaughters whom she raised as her own children: Becky Davis and Hope Lewis; two sisters: Hannah Garland and husband, Jimmy and Elizabeth Lloyd and husband, Dorsel; eleven grandchildren; twenty-six great-grandchildren; a special great-great grandchild, Amenadiel Baldwin; a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.

Crystal's visitation will be Wednesday, November 2, 2022, from 11:00-12:00pm in the chapel of Tri City Funeral Home with the funeral service beginning at 12:00pm. Bishop Michael Bayer will be officiating. Interment will be at the Benham Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
