Daniel Lee "Danny" Stines, Jr., 78, of Loyall passed away peacefully on Friday, September 8, 2023, at the St. Joseph Hospital in London. Danny was born on May 24, 1945 in Harlan County. After graduating from high school in 1964, Danny served eight years in the Air Force as an aircraft mechanic and was a Vietnam veteran. He then worked as a coal miner before starting a new career at Toyota Motor Manufacturing as a team leader where he was a valued employee until his retirement. He was also a devoted husband, father and grandfather.

Danny was preceded in death by his parents, Daniel Lee Stines, Sr. and Anna Lorene Middleton Stines Turner.

Danny is survived by his wife of 55 years, Priscilla Lee Johnson Stines, Loyall; his daughter, Leesa Jo Williams, Corbin; two sisters, Shirley Ann Clark, Baxter and Susan Stines Witt, Lay Hill; and two grandchildren, Josie Lee Williams and Gunnar Kent Williams, both of Corbin; one niece; and several nephews.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 12 noon on Wednesday, September 13, 2023, in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home with his funeral service starting at 12 noon with Pastor Frank Shope, Jr. officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers. Military rites will be preformed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
