Danny Lee Ball, Jr., 56, of New Tazewell, TN, formerly of Evarts, departed this life on Saturday, March 14, 2026, at his home. Born November 13, 1969 in Harlan County, he had lived here most of his life. Danny was a coal miner and believed in the Baptist faith.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Danny Ball, Sr. and Sheila Gilbert Ball; and a nephew, Leslie Aaron Cox.

Survivors include his wife, Starla Clark Ball, New Tazewell, TN; four children, Kellie Ray and husband, Steven, Cranks; Jake Ball and wife, Kali, Evarts; Kaylee Ball and fiancé, Nef Andrews, New Tazewell, TN; and Danny Ball III, New Tazewell, TN; and a sister, Paula Ball Cox, Evarts. Also surviving are nine grandchildren, Abby Ray, Steven Ray, Jr., Eli Ball, Jaxon Ray, Sapphira Tucker, Rayven Ball, Cora Andrews, Maverick Andrews and Rynlee Ball; a nephew, Scotty Cox; and a host of other family and friends.

Visitation will be held Tuesday, March 17, 2026, from 5 until 7 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home. Funeral services will begin in the chapel at 7 pm with Dr. Josh Doyle and Steven Ray officiating.
