Danny Hatfield, age 66, of Cumberland departed this life on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born July 7, 1956 to Fred and Aislee Rigney Hatfield in Benham, KY. He was a retired coal miner having worked for Scotia Mine Company most of his career.  His favorite pastimes were fishing, riding his side by side, going to car shows and he held a love for classic cars.

He is preceded in death by his father, Fred Hatfield and a great-granddaughter, Audrey Grace Castrucci.

Danny is survived by his loving wife, Thelma Jean Hatfield, Cumberland; his mother, Aislee Rigney Hatfield of Cumberland; three children, Sandra Hatfield, Cumberland; Danny Hatfield Jr. (Tiffany), Ohio; Jason Hatfield (Courtney), Tazewell, TN; four brothers; Bruce, Rondall, Brian and Jimmy Hatfield, all of Cumberland; sister, Carol Fannin, Inez, KY; grandchildren, Bradley, Cody, Tyler, Cassidy, Haley, Dakota, and Morgan; great-grandchild, James Castrucci; unborn granddaughter, Ivy; brother-in-law and special friend, Jamie Sergent. Also a host of nieces and nephews will mourn his passing.

Visitation will be Friday, July 22, 2022, from 6 to 8 PM at the Trinity Holiness Tabernacle in Hiram, KY. Funeral services will be conducted  Saturday, July 23, 2022, at 1 PM also at the church with the Reverend Rex Lloyd officiating. Interment will follow in the DL Creech Cemetery in Cumberland with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
