David Mark Brown, 68, of Harlan passed away Monday, April 27, 2026, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital. He was born on September 25, 1957 in Blytheville, AR. David worked as a former manager for A&P Grocery and in the smokehouse at Smithfield Farms in Middlesboro, KY, and was a Christian.

He was preceded in death by his father, William "Bill" Brown; and one grandson, Lucas Bradley Griffin.

David is survived by his mother, Priscilla Sue Broyles Brown, Pathfork; three children, Amy Brown, Smith; Leah Brown, Hulen; and Patty Prater and husband, Tyler, Pathfork; one brother, Eldon Brown, Warner Robins, GA; and one sister, Patricia Templeton and husband, Johnny, Pathfork. Also surviving are five grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Thursday, April 30, 2026, at the Alva Memorial Gardens with the Reverend David Howard officiating.

Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
