Della Mae Taylor Pace, 81, of Evarts, departed this life on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at the Tri Cities Health and Rehabilitation. Born August 21, 1942 in Harlan, she had lived here most of her life. Della worked for many years as a home health aide and had also worked as a coal miner.  She was a member of the Victory Baptist Church in Evarts.  Della enjoyed singing, quilting and making cards.  She was an avid Kentucky Wildcat fan.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Dillard Taylor and Ruby Laws Taylor; a son, Terry Lunsford; three brothers, Corporal Lee Roy Taylor, Donnie Taylor and Carl Taylor; and one sister, Anna Faye Fee.

Survivors include four children, Danny Lunsford, Sr., Evarts; Mike Lunsford, Evarts; Karen Nolan-Decker and husband, Mark, Noblesville, IN; and Danny Lunsford, Jr., Loyall; one brother, Lawrence Taylor and wife, Jackie, Closplint; and two sisters, Loretta Freeman and husband, Rodney, Evarts; and Shirley Farmer and husband, Bradley, Evarts. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Brandy Lunsford, Gary Lunsford, Michael Lunsford, Michael Lunsford, Chasidy Lunsford, Gary Nolan, Ronnie Nolan and Stephanie Nolan; several great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends, including a special friend, Ruby Blevins.

Her visitation will be held Friday from 5 until 8 pm and after 11 am Saturday at the Victory Baptist Church

Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, September 30, 2023, at 12 noon at the Victory Baptist Church with Associate Pastor William Kelly and Pastor Rodney Freeman officiating.

Burial will follow in the Resthaven Cemetery at Keith with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
