Dennis Wayne Branim, 57, of Verda passed away suddenly at his home on Saturday, August 12, 2023.  Dennis was born on March 16, 1966 in Harlan County to the late Delmar Osborne and the late Glassie Branim.  He was a retired coal miner having worked 20 years for Napier Mining and believed in the Baptist faith.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his Grandparents, Joe and Julia Smithers Branim, a brother, Jerry Lee Gibbs, and a sister, Linda Vaughn.

He is survived by his daughter, Heather Wilkinson and husband, Aaron, Murray, KY; three grandchildren, Braylynn Wilkinson, Bayleigh Wilkinson and Brayden Pace; two sisters, Judy Pace, Tazewell, TN; JoEtta Hylton, Pennington Gap, VA; the love of his life, Deborah Bailey; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends, including special friends, Sonya Parker, Duck Helton, Jesse Wayne Creech, Chris Napier and Billy Wayne Stewart.

His visitation will be held Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 11 am with funeral services to follow at 3 pm.  Pastor Danny McCreary will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
