Donahue Farley, age 72, Middlesboro, Ky passed away on Tuesday, June 4, 2024 . He was born on March 6, 1952 in Harlan County to late Arnold Lee and Margie Burkhart Farley. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Jim Osborne and stepmother, Sybil Farley; two brothers: Kenneth Farley and Frank W. Farley; one sister and brother-in-law, Tony and Geraldine Farley Turner and a son-in-law, Charles Patrick Gossett.

After attending Cawood High School he entered the work force and started his beloved family. He began work at Sizzler steakhouse in Speedway, Indiana, eventually becoming the manager. After returning to Kentucky, he became a professional truck driver which he retired from after 23 years.

In 1969 he met Patricia Wyatt and they wed later that year and remained married for 54 years. To this union three children were born Donita Farley Gossett, D. Kevin Farley (Alice) and Weslee D. Farley. He dedicated his entire life to them. He was an amazing Husband, Dad, Pappy and Pappy G. His Grandkids and Great Grandkids were his world. He had such a positive influence on all who knew him and he never meet a stranger. His passion was family, his joy was hunting and fishing.

Donahue is also survived by five brothers: Arnold Farley, MD Farley (Corinne), David Osborne, Carl "Cocoa" Farley and Steve Noe; six sisters: Shirley Farley Garnett, Brenda Farley Gillespie (David), Joan Farley Miniard (Mack) Judy Farley, Leona Farley Lambert, Jessie Osborne Lewis (Jacob) and a sister-in-law, Brenda Farley, eight Grandchildren: Desiree Gossett Wilder ( Chaz), Caroline Farley, Brittany Gossett, Logan Farley, Adriana Graves, Gabrielle Hunt, Katelyn Farley and Samantha Farley; two Great Grandchildren: Kade Astra Patrick Wilder and Coen Atlas Donahue Wilder.

Funeral Service will be 2 p.m., Saturday, June 8, 2024 at Shumate Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Davey Miracle Officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be: D. Kevin Farley, Weslee Farley, Chaz Wilder, Logan Farley, Mackie Miniard and Scott Farley. Honorary Pallbearers will be: MD Farley and Arnold Farley. Entombment will follow at Green Hill Memorial Mausoleum. The family of Donahue Farley will receive friends at Shumate Funeral Home from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, June 7, 2024.
