Faye Gibson, 78, of Keith, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 31, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. Born March 11, 1944 in Harlan County, she was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Gene Gibson; her parents, Beckham Shoemaker and Hannah Ethel Gilbert Shoemaker; four brothers, Jimmy Allen Shoemaker, Elmer Shoemaker, Bentley Shoemaker, John Henry Shoemaker; and one special nephew, Mike Shoemaker.

Faye is survived by two sons, Mark Gibson and wife, Denice, Corbin; and Rodney Gibson and fiancé, Andrea, Keith; two brothers, Herbert Shoemaker, Corbin and Charlie Shoemaker, Hamilton, OH; four sisters, Zella Messer, Hamilton, OH; Ruth Clark, Keith; Billie Disney, Clearwater, FL; and Shannon Brashears, Cumberland. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Robert Gibson, Alex Gibson and Zach Gibson.

Visitation will be from 12 to 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 3, 2022, in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Jerry Kirby officiating.

Burial will be in the Shoemaker Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
