Frank "Babers" Gerald Perkins, 58, of Coxton departed this life on Saturday, March 30, 2024, at the Harlan App. Reg. Hospital.  Born October 28, 1965, he was a lifelong resident of Coxton.  Frank was a retired coal miner.  He enjoyed riding his four wheeler and sitting around Perkins Garage with his brothers and friends.

He is preceded in death by his father, Chester Perkins; a brother, Bruce Perkins; a brother-in-law, Danny Joe Holbrook; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Thelma and Oreain Cochran.

Survivors include his mother, Vivian "Betty" Nolan Perkins, Coxton; his daughter, Amanda Perkins, Coxton; a niece that was like a second daughter, Trisha Perkins Whitehead, Coxton; his little buddy, Lucas; and his former wife, Jane Perkins, Coxton.  Also surviving are three sisters, Joann Greer and husband, the Reverend Kelles Greer; Carol "Sis" Holbrook; Lavonda Pennington and husband, Tim, all of Coxton; four brothers, Rick Perkins, who was also a special friend; Terry Perkins and wife, Marie; Clarence Perkins and wife, Kathy, all of Coxton; Keith Perkins and wife, Wanda, Verda; a host of nieces and nephews, other family and friends, including special friends, Bradley Pennington, Tim Patterson, Steven "Fish" Fields and Obie Saylor.

His visitation will be held Monday and Tuesday from 5 until 9 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home and after 12 noon Wednesday at the Coxton Full Gospel Church of God.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday, April 3, 2024, at 2 pm at the Coxton Full Gospel Church of God with the Reverend Kelles Greer and the Reverend Jerry Kinney officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with his family and friends serving as pallbearers.
