Gail R Cornett, ago 80, of Gordon passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 28, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her family. She was born on October 16, 1942 to the late Curtis and Martha Shepherd Cornett. Gail was a homemaker and a long time member of the Sandhill Baptist Church. She loved cooking and tending to her garden. Her grandchildren were the light of her life.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Harold Cornett; a son, Barry Cornett; and a granddaughter, Allee Lewis.

Gail leaves to cherish her memory her daughters, Vickie Gilliam and husband, Greg, of Gordon; Misty Lewis and husband, Chris, of Gordon; daughter-in-law, Patricia Cornett; brother, Bristo Cornett and wife, Sue, of Pine Knot, KY; and grandchildren, Isaac Cornett and Rylee Lewis.

Her visitation will be Sunday  from 5 until 8 pm at Tri City Funeral Home.  Her funeral service will be Monday, January 30, 2023, at 12 PM with the Reverend Jimmy Jenkins officiating. Interment will follow at the Little Joe Cornett Cemetery in Gordon with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
