Gail Middleton O'Rourke, 74, of Kenvir entered eternal rest on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, at the Hazard ARH.  Born February 14, 1951 to the late Leroy and Verna Middleton, she was a lifelong resident of Harlan County.  Gail had managed the Harlan BP Double Kwik for 22 years before retiring.  She was a graduate of the Evarts High School and enjoyed reading, cooking and watching cooking shows on television.  Gail was truly one of a kind with a heart for helping others and will be greatly missed by many.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by three brothers, Ova, Ken and Bennie Middleton.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Jack Franklin O'Rourke; a son, Jack O'Rourke and wife, Rhonda; a granddaughter, Kayla O'Rourke; two sisters, Lynn Napier and Phyllis Hudson; two brothers, Tim Middleton and wife, Barb; Marty Middleton and wife, Donna; several nieces, nephews, other family; and a host of friends.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, September 26, 2025, at 2 pm at the Evarts Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Bill Moore officiating.  Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
