Louisa "Gal" Polson Early, 79, of Closplint, departed this life at the St Joseph Hospital in Lexington on Friday, March 14, 2025. Born March 4, 1946 in Harlan County, she had lived here all of her life. Gal was a homemaker and devoted caregiver and mother to her children.

She is preceded in death by her parents, James Polson and Hester Fields Polson; two grandchildren, Tyler Lee Griffith and Kyle Travis Early; a brother, James Marvin Polson; and the father of her children, Paul Glenn Early.

Survivors include two children, Melissa "Missy" Early; and Glenn Alfred Early; both of Closplint; three sisters, Katie Sargent, Cumberland; Cathy Drew, Putney; and Josie Kelley, Pigeon Forge; a brother, Carr David Polson, Closplint; a special friend and angel, Leslie Napier Johnson, Jones Creek; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

To honor her wish all services will be private.
