George "Little Man" Joseph, 70, of Loyall went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, December 18, 2025 at his residence. He was born on April 21, 1955 in Harlan County and worked as a coal miner for many years. George was a member of the Loyall Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Margaret Bennett Joseph; his parents, John Joseph and Ophie Jackson Joseph; two children, John Stepp and Pearl Stepp; two brothers, Cleve Joseph and Rufus Joseph; and one sister, Ethel Joseph Arwood.

George is survived by three children, Quintin Stepp, Sr., Kathy Napier and Jared Stepp; two brothers, Hiram Joseph and Paul Joseph; three sisters, Mae Hensley, Katie Saylor and Mary "Little Mary" Markin. Also surviving are six grandchildren, Quintina Stepp, Amber Stepp, Quintin Stepp, Jr., Starrla Gann, Pearl Stepp, Jr. and John Stepp; and a special friend, Gary Fee.

Visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 22, 2025, at the Loyall Church of Christ with Pastor Chris Wheeler officiating.

Burial will be in Resthaven Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
