Georgia Faye Cornett Brown, 88 of Cumberland, passed away Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at the Tri Cities Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Linefork, KY on June 29, 1938, to the late Victor and Mary Campbell Cornett. Georgia lived in Illinois from 1960 until 1998 when she moved back to Cumberland. While living in Illinois she worked for many years at Ace Fastener which was also named Dove Enterprises in Lincolnwood, Illinois. She was a dedicated follower of Jesus Christ. Georgia made everyone feel welcomed at her home with her joy and hospitality. She loved Jesus, her family, and animals, especially dogs and cats.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Victor and Mary Campbell Cornett; her husband, Carlos W Brown Jr.; a daughter, Gloria Ann Brown; two brothers, Jack Dempsey Cornett and Emory Cornett; and a sister, Bonnie Cornett Ingram.

She leaves to mourn her passing her children, Barbara Hernandez and husband, Rolando, of Maryville, TN; Edward Brown of Cumberland; Debra Brown of Cumberland; James Brown of Cumberland; two step-daughters, Pamela Broockman and husband, Peter, of Maryville, TN and Patricia Shelton, and husband, Joseph, of Jefferson County, TN; a brother, Elmon Cornett of Linefork, KY; a sister, Judith Disney of Cumberland; six grandchildren, Daniel Hernandez, David Zomaya, Angela Zomaya Penley, Jillian, Andrew Hopson and Matthew Hopson; three step-grandchildren, Joseph Jr., Bambi and Ashley; great-grandchildren, Rose Lynn, Ruby Marie, Dedi, Bonnie, Patrick and Piper; and a host of beloved nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service will be held at a later date.

Memorial donations can be made to St. Jude Children's hospital, in Georgia's name.
