Gill Hensley, 97, of Beech Grove, IN formerly of Harlan County passed away peacefully in his sleep on Saturday December 24, 2022. Gill was born in Harlan, Kentucky on September 28, 1925. He married Juanita Marie Simpson of Loyall, KY on March 14, 1947. Both Gill and Juanita worked at RCA in Indianapolis their entire careers, with Gill's retirement in 1986.

Gill was preceded in death his wife, Juanita Marie Simpson Hensley; his parents, Burt Hensley and Betts Ann Hamblin Hensley; one son, Gill B. Hensley; and several brothers and sisters.

He is survived by one son, Daryl Hensley and wife, Lynn McCarthy, of Jasper, IN; a sister, Evelyn Hoskins, of Miracle, KY; as well as four grandchildren and 10 Great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, December 29, 2022, in the chapel of the Harlan Funeral Home.

Funeral services will follow at 7 p.m. with Pastor Clarence Ramsey officiating.

Graveside services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at the Hensley Cemetery, Smith, KY.
