Imogene Colinger Johnson, 84, of Putney, passed away Friday, September 23, 2022, at her residence with her family by her side. Born December 27, 1937 in Harlan County, she was a homemaker and believed in the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Noah Amos Johnson; her parents, Harmon Colinger and Nellie Noe Colinger; and one daughter, Jenny Lou Johnson.

Imogene is survived by four children, Christina Johnson, Baxter; Noah Amos Johnson, Jr. and wife, Dolly, Baxter; Wanda Johnson Lewis and husband, Owen, Baxter; and Ernest Johnson and wife, Sandy, Putney. Also surviving are three grandchildren, Kimberly Ann Lewis, Bubby Lewis and Jason Lewis; and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 12 noon Saturday, September 24, 2022 at the Johnson Cemetery on Airport Road with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
