James Cecil Lively, 53, of Wallins passed away Sunday, April 23, 2023, at his residence. Born February 14, 1970 in Harlan County, he had lived here most of his life. He was a coal miner.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Cathy Jean Collins.

James is survived by his father, John Cecil Hobbs, Wallins; one daughter, Tracy Ann Smith, Bulls Gap, TN; one step-daughter, Robin Shepherd, Harlan; three sisters, Teresa Abner, Harlan; Heather Napier, Wallins; and Amber Lawson, Wallins. Also surviving are three grandchildren and one due anytime; and two special nieces, Kathy Rice, Harlan; and Fonda Abner Creech, Evarts; along with several aunts, uncles and many dear friends.
