Janice Blevins Fulkerson, 71, of Lejunior, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 24, 2022, following a short illness.  Born December 21, 1950, she was a lifelong resident of Harlan County.  Janice was one of the founders of the King's Chapel Assembly of God in Lejunior.  She was a Pioneer Pastor there for 42 years.  Janice was very active in her church and in many community outreach programs.  She especially enjoyed cooking holiday meals and sharing them with anyone and everyone.  She was proud to be named a Kentucky Colonel.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Joe Blevins and Bertha Caudill Blevins; seven sisters, Edith, Esmarlda, Sally, Bonnie, Joann, Maxine and Debra; and five brothers, Michael, Farmer, Roland, Ellis and James S. Blevins.

She is survived by her husband, Dale Fulkerson, Louellen; two sons, Joseph D. "Joey" Fulkerson, Louellen; Dale "DJ" Fulkerson, Jr., Lejunior; two sisters, Sarah Quesenberry, Pell City, AL; Stella Mae Matthews, Richmond, IN; and one brother, Jerry Blevins and wife, Mandy, Dayton, OH.  Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews, including a special niece and nephew, Shelly Blevins Middleton, Corbin, and David Cloud, Cotes; her fur baby, Brownie; and a host of other family and friends.

Her visitation will be held Tuesday from 2 until 9 pm at the King's Chapel Assembly of God Church in Lejunior and from 11 am until 2 pm Wednesday.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2 pm Wednesday, September 28, 2022, at the Church with the Reverend Jonathon Chambers, Ralph Tennison, Brother Gridler, Mary Jane Boggs, Brother Broome and Arnold Sanders officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her family and friends serving as pallbearers.
