Jeanie Elizabeth "Red" Saylor, 63, of Baxter passed away Saturday, January 7, 2023, at the UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was born September 19, 1959 in Harlan County. She worked as a sales associate for Coming up Roses in Harlan; a mechanic for 17 years; an instructor at Ceramic Classroom; and a Floral Wholesale delivery driver. She believed in the Christian faith.

Red was preceded in death by her parents, Kinard Saylor and Peggy Jean Cornett Saylor; grandparents, Wallin Saylor, Sr.; McKinley Cornett and Minnie Day Cornett; and several uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and cousins; and many other loved ones.

She is survived by two children, David William Joseph Saylor, Baxter; and Glessie Miriah Nicole Gilbert, Bledsoe; one granddaughter, Zoey Alexis Gilbert, Baxter; her adopted family; and a host of other family and special friends.

Her visitation will be from 1-2 p.m. Thursday, January 12, 2023, in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 2 p.m. with Pastor John Carter officiating.

Burial will be in the Cornett Family Cemetery in Resthaven Cemetery with Harlan Masonic Community will serve as pallbearers.
