Jewell Ann Jones Fee, age 85, of Gulston, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 5, 2024, at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Jewell was born on April 22, 1939, in Harlan County to Cordie and Dorothy (Parsons) Jones. She worked as an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) for twenty-eight years at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. She believed in the Baptist faith.

Jewell is preceded in death by her parents, Cordie and Dorothy; her husband, Curtis Fee; a son, Curtis Fee, Jr.;  two sisters, Joyce Thomas and Hettie Lyttle.

Survivors include five children: Henrey Fee, Logan Fee (Elaine), Stanley Fee, Connie Fee, Abigail Fee, all of Gulston; two brothers: Bob Jones of Coxton and Cordie Jones, Jr. of Kankakee, Illinois; grandchildren: Matthew, Candice, Melissa, Jason, Corey, Cailyne, Jaycelyne, Lannie and Steven; several great-grandchildren; a host of extended relatives; and many dear friends.

Visitation for Jewell will be held on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 5:00-8:00PM in the chapel of the Harlan Funeral Home. The funeral service will take place Tuesday, July 9, at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Pastor John Luttrell officiating. Burial will be at Evarts Memorial Gardens, Evarts, KY. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
