John Hershal “Johnny” Brock, 78, of Evarts, departed this life on Thursday, October 29, 2026, at the Harlan Health and Rehabilitation Center following a long illness. Born April 7, 1948 in Harlan, he had lived here most of his life. Johnny was a very humble and kind person who always tried to be good to everyone and be the “Best Buddy” he could be. He worked as a truck driver for many years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Amon Brock and Colleen Hobbs Brock.

Survivors include a son, Wayne Brock and wife Karen, Barbourville; two brothers, Amon Brock, Jr., and Earl Brock; three sisters, Pauline Patterson, Wanda Osborne and Wilma Brock; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

All services for Johnny will be private.
