Johnny Dan Bush, 68, of Holmes Mill departed this life on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at the UT Medical Center in Knoxville.  Born June 6, 1955 in Harlan County, Johnny was a diesel mechanic for many years.  Johnny enjoyed ginsenging, playing Santa Claus for the Cloverfork children, making people laugh and helping anyone with anything he could help them with. He believed in the Baptist faith.

Johnny is preceded in death by his wife, Maria Napier Bush; his parents, Howard Bush and Dorothy Evelyn Perkins Bush; a daughter, Amanda Marie Danielle Bush; a son, Jonathan Dan Bush; and a grandson, Aaron Thompson.

Survivors include a daughter, Crystal Plowman and husband, Jimmy, Eastbrook; two sisters, Ann Ford and husband, Glen, Evarts; Wanda Napier, Harlan; a brother, Jimmy Bush, Holmes Mill; six grandchildren: Sarah, John, Ethan, Riley, Patrick and Aedan; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

His visitation will be Thursday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Graveside services will be conducted Friday, February 23, 2024, at 11 am at the Evarts Memorial Gardens with the Reverend Mike Blair officiating.  Please meet at the Evarts Funeral Home at 10:30 am to go to the cemetery as a funeral procession.
