Joyce Faye Ruth Crider, 90, of Loyall departed this life at the Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital on Saturday, June 22, 2024. She was born November 11, 1933 in Evarts, and had lived in Harlan County most of her life. Joyce was a homemaker and a member of the Calvary Baptist Church.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Edward and Julia Hurley Ruth; and a daughter, Andra Crider; two brothers and two sisters.

Survivors include her husband of 68 years, James Crider, Loyall; four children, Deborah Cox, Valdosta, GA; Amy Martin, Harrogate, TN; Beth Powers, Harrogate, TN; and James Crider, Jonesboro, TN; a brother, Doug Ruth, Lexington, KY; ten grandchildren; six great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

All services for Joyce will be private at her request.
