Joyce Joann Ely, 86, of Benham, Kentucky, passed away on January 26,2024, after a brief illness.

She was born on October 7, 1937, to Beulah and Justice Hatfield in Lynch, Kentucky. She was a bookkeeper, mother, Memaw, and wife. She was a member of Benham United Methodist Church.

She leaves behind her husband Marcus of 61 years; her sons Mark (Laurel) and Brian (Donna) and grandchildren; Matt, Nick, and Sydney. She also leaves behind two sisters Judy Letanosky and Vickie Gurley (Bill), as well as her brother Mike (Josie) Hatfield; brother-in-law, George Ely, as well as a host of nieces and nephews. Joyce was preceded in death by her brother Don Hatfield; sister-in-law, Nila Hatfield; sister, Sandra Hatfield; brother-in-law John Letanosky; brother-in-law, Everett Ely and sister-in-law, Mona Ely.

A Celebration of Life will be held on February 1st from 1-3 PM at the Benham United Methodist Church in Benham, Kentucky. In lieu of flowers the family has requested donations be made to the Benham United Methodist Church or Shriners Children's Hospital.
