Joyce Alene Hensley Lawson, 84, of Corbin, formerly of Harlan County, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, May 2, 2024, at her residence with her family by her side. Born October 20, 1939 in Harlan County, she was a homemaker and a Christian.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Virgil Hensley and Leona Brock Hensley; one brother; two sisters; and one grandchild.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 68 years, Lawrence Elmer Lawson, Corbin; four children, Lawrence Allen Lawson and wife, Maryellen, Michigan; Julie Lawson, Michigan; Kathy Denise Hilton and husband, Daniel, Florida; and Christopher Lee Lawson and wife, Vicki, Michigan. Also surviving are 11 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 7, 2024, at the Hensley Cemetery, Smith, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
