Our precious Mother, Mamaw and Maw, Juanita Caudill Maggard, took her heavenly journey on March 28, 2024. She was born on February 20,1938, in Turkey Creek Ky to the late Lafeyette and Bertha Caudill. She was Eighty-six years young. Mamma had a heart of Gold and always put others first. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved the Lord. She was a homemaker and worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant for many years. She loved her family and looked forward to holidays when everyone gathered. I cannot remember a Christmas when she did not seek out a family to help. That was our Mama, always giving and never wanting, or asking for anything. She was a wonderful cook and her love for life was contagious. She enjoyed watching the birds in her feeders and her flower garden.

She was married to the late Tinsel John Maggard of Partridge, Ky. She had 6 biological children: Mary Ann Smith (Darrell) – Kingsport TN, Connie Sue Maggard – Partridge, Ky, Carolyn Sue Simmons- Winnabow, NC, Billy Darrell Troyer – Boliva, NC, Martha Jane Hewett (William)- Bolivia, NC, and Glenda Sherrill Harrison (Chris) – Winnabow, NC. She had eight stepchildren: Maggie Joann Caudill (Harold) North Carolina, Roger Maggard (Leanne) WA, and the Late Opal Caudill, Sharon Surber, Helen Gillam, Arnold Maggard, Priscilla Boggs, and Edward Maggard.

Three adopted as her own Debra Potter, Teresa Sturgill, and Brenda Owens.

She is survived by siblings: Gracie Parsons of Cumberland Ky, Benton Caudill (Darla) Pennsylvania, Layfayette Junior Caudill (Sonja) Michigan and the late Maynard Caudill, Willard Caudill, Velva Caudill, Mazie Harlow, Delta Caudill, Bethel Caudill, and Dixie Caudill.

The relationship she had with her grandbabies was pure love. Her precious grandchildren Rebecca & Billie Troyer, Bridgett Fryer ( KT), Christopher Simmons, Landon & Logan Mintz, Shannon White, Brittany & Benjamin Hollembeak, Corey & Cameron Hewett, and Tonya Maggard. Her littlest loves, her great Grandchildren: Paisley & Kolsten Fryer, Matthew & Haelynn Jacobs and Dillon Huffman.

Services will be held at Tri City Funeral Home in Benham Ky with Pastor Jason Caudill Officiating. Visitation will be on 4/01/2024 from 5pm to 8pm. The funeral will be on 4/02/2024 at 1pm at The Tri City Funeral Home in Benham, Ky with a gravesite tribute directly after at the Maggard Cemetery in Partridge, Ky. Pallbearers: Benjamin Hollembeak, K.T. Fryer, Christopher Simmons, Travis Sturgill, Chris Harrison, Darrell Smith, and Landon Mintz. Honorary Pallbearers: Logan Mintz, Keeron Sturgill, Corey and Cameron Hewett.
