Obituary

2 Corinthians 4:17

"For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, worketh for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory;"

Judith Elaine Burton Hill, lovingly known as Judy, of Partridge, Kentucky, stepped into an eternity with her Savior on Thursday, April 11, 2024, at the Greg and Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard, Kentucky, with her family by her side.

Judy was born in Lynch, Kentucky to Lester and Lovell Lewis Burton on January 21, 1955. She grew up in the Partridge area of Letcher County and attended Arlie Boggs Elementary and Whitesburg High School. She married early and received the biggest blessings of her life when her two sons, Jamey and Jason, were born. Family meant everything to Judy and being a mother was the highlight of her life. With the addition of her granddaughter, Angel, Judy took on the beloved role of 'Nan'. She loved Angel so and was very proud of the young lady she grew up to be. Judy was thrilled when her family expanded with the birth of her great-grandson, Mars.

Everyone who met Judy loved her. She was a happy soul who loved to laugh; she believed in the Pentecostal faith, and she loved Jesus. Her absence leaves a void in the hearts of all who knew and loved Judy, but her memory will live on.

Judy is preceded in death by her parents, Lester and Lovell Burton; three brothers: Donny Earl, Darrell, and Kenneth 'Pete' Burton; and two sisters-in-law: Lelia Burton and Vernell Burton.

Left to cherish her memory are her two sons: Jamey Hill and wife, Crystal, of Corbin, KY, and Jason Hill and wife, Sabrina, of Partridge, KY; her granddaughter, Angel Hill Weaver; a great-grandson, Mars Weaver; her sister, Darlene Burton Warf; two brothers: Leon Burton and wife, Patty, and Ed Burton; sister-in-law, Francis Burton; several nieces and nephews; a host of extended relatives as well as many friends.

A Celebration of Life service will take place at her graveside on Thursday, April 18, 2024, at 1:00PM at the Burton Family Cemetery, Lewis Creek, at Partridge, KY.

Tri City Funeral Home is honored to serve the family of Ms. Judy Hill.
