Juliet Witt Clark, 80, of Holmes Mill,  passed away on Thursday, September 3, 2026, at her home following a long illness. Juliet was born on September 26, 1945 in Harlan County to the late Earl Witt and the late Celia Holmes Witt.

Juliet retired from the Harlan County Board of Education after teaching elementary school for over 30 years. She loved her family and especially loved her grandchildren. Juliet enjoyed crafting, teaching VBS and anything she could do to help kids.

In addition to her parents, Juliet is preceded in death by her husband, William Delmer Clark; a son, Craig Clark; a brother, Earl Witt, Jr.; a son-in-law, David Pittman; two nieces, Ruthie Davis and Elizabeth Kelly; one nephew, Glenn Earl Roberts; and a special sister-in-law, Tena Clark.

Juliet is survived by her daughters, Kenova Pittman and Judel Clark; one brother, Edmond (Coleen) Witt; three sisters, Yolanda Kelly, Veronica Johnston, Lavonne (Glenn) Roberts; six grandchildren, Breanna (Alex) Haywood, Johnathan (Katie) Pittman, Hannah Pittman, Keturah "Boo" Clark, Logan Clark and Ryan Clark; nine great grandchildren, Cylann Bargo, Aria and Audrey Haywood; Cooper, Wyatt and Levi Rowe; Irelyn and Indy Roberts; and Cayde Napier; a daughter-in-law, Ginger Clark; and a host of other family and friends and nieces and nephews whom she loved as her own.

Her visitation will be held Monday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, September 8, 2026, at 2 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home with Pastor Ralph Whitaker officiating.

Burial will follow in the Short Cemetery in Holmes Mill with family and friends  serving as pallbearers.
