Obituary

Kimberly "Kim" Miller Owens, 56, of London, formerly of Harlan County, went to her forever home on Monday, June 17, 2024, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in London with her family by her side. She was greeted in heaven by her grandparents, Ancil and Gladys Miller; James and Myrtle Brown; father, Donald Miller; bonus dad, William Brown; brothers, Michael and Christopher Miller; nephew, Brady Bishop; but most of all, her only son, Kyle Raymond Owens.

Kim was born August 6, 1967 in Kettering, OH. She worked as a 911 dispatcher for Harlan E.M.S., she also worked at Kmart, and she was medical billing assistant for Data Health Entry.

She is survived by her mother, Nancy Sue Miller Brown, London; sister, Kelly Miller Bishop (Roy Rogers), Germantown, OH; sister, Mickey Howard (Rick); nieces, Aspen and Kylee Miller, LeeAnn Lester; nephew, Brandon Howard (Rayleena); eight great-nieces and nephews; many special cousins; so many wonderful friends; and her fur babies, Willow and Ivy.

Kim was the most selfless human in the world, with a heart of gold, and would do anything for the ones she loved. She was a bright light and was loved by all who knew her. She had many names, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend, but her favorite name, Aunt Kimmy, by all the kids that loved her. She was loved beyond measure and will be greatly missed by everyone. Unconditionally loved never to be FORGOTTEN.

Per Kim's wishes, the family will be holding a celebration of life on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at her home. The address is 43 Wilson Lane London, KY 40744. There will also be a celebration of life for Kimmy in her hometown in Ohio at a later date.

"Look for Me" in Rainbows by Conn Bernard. Time for me to leave you, I won't say goodbye; look for me in rainbows, high up in the sky. In the evening sunset, when all the world is through, just look for me and love me, and I'll be close to you. It won't be forever, the day will come and then my loving arms will hold you, when we meet again. Time for us to part now, we won't say goodbye; look for me in rainbows, shining in the sky. Every waking moment, and all your whole life through just look for me and love me, and know I loved you.
