Kimberly Susan Stewart Ray, age 51, of Evarts, Kentucky, passed away Saturday, July 1,2023, at Harlan Appalachian Regional Hospital. The only daughter of four children, Kim was born in Harlan, KY, on July 23, 1971, to David and Mary Jones Stewart. In October 1988, Kim married Denver Marcus Ray, the love of her life. That union lasted thirty-five years and produced three precious children: Amanda, Adam, and Brittany. Kim cherished her role as a mother, wife, and grandmother and devoted her life to her family. She believed in the Holiness Faith.

Kim is preceded in death by her parents, David and Mary Stewart.

Kim is survived by her best friend and husband of 35 years, Denver; her three  children: Amanda Hatfield and husband, Dewayne, of Middlesboro, Ky; Adam Ray of Evarts, Ky; and Brittany Ray and boyfriend, Demarcus Monroe, of Wallins, Ky; three brothers: Teddy Stewart and wife, Tonia, of Indiana, Tommy Stewart and wife, Charlet, of Lexington, KY, and  Troy Stewart and wife, Orpha, also of Lexington; four grandchildren, Skylan Paige Holden, Harper Cheyanne Holden, Ozzy Dakota Orhyan Ray and Mason Delione; a host of extended relatives and many dear friends.

Visitation for Kim will be held Thursday, July 6, 2023, from 5:00-7:00pm in the chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with funeral services beginning at 7:00 with the Reverend Perry Long and Reverend Zach Johnson.  In honoring Kim's wishes, she will be cremated following her services.
