Lana Guthrie Daniels, 69, of Kenvir went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 5, 2025, following a courageous battle with cancer.  Lana was born on December 24, 1955 to the late Lewis Guthrie and Lorine Gambrel Guthrie.  A native and lifelong resident of Kenvir, she was a hairdresser for 55 years and the owner/operator of Lana's Beauty Shop in Evarts.  Lana loved sewing, quilting, crafting, and flowers, but her number one love, after God and her family, was cooking, especially for family, friends and neighbors.  She believed in the Pentecostal Holiness faith.

In addition to her parents, Lana is preceded in death by her husband, Britt Daniels; two brothers and their wives, Ray and Bessie Guthrie; Glenn and Polly Guthrie; and a sister-in-law, Andrea Guthrie.

Those left to mourn include her three sons, Chris Howard of Kenvir; Jeremy Daniels of Dizney; and Chase Howard of Kenvir; a sister, Donna Guthrie of Kenvir; and three brothers, Dennis Guthrie of Dizney; Jerry Guthrie and wife, Mary, of Ohio; and the Reverend Mike Guthrie and wife, Betty, of Kenvir.  Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, and countless friends and former clients that she loved throughout the years, including a special friend, Lora Eldridge Galloway.

Her visitation will be held Sunday from 5 until 8 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be conducted Monday, December 8, 2025, at 11 am in the Chapel of the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Perry Long and Brother Stan Nicely officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with her sons and nephews serving as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Guthrie, Austin Guthrie and Milt Saylor.
