Sunday, August 9th at 5:27 p.m., wrapped in the loving arms of his siblings and family, Lance Wynn laid down his robe of flesh and entered into the presence of his Savior, where he received the everlasting prize.  Lance will be sorely missed by the many individuals whom he touched. His smile, laughter, and encouraging spirit are just some of Lance's irreplaceable hallmarks.

Anyone who knew Lance's journey over the past nine years knows that he fought a battle most of us will thankfully never have to experience. Yet through it all, he never complained or asked, "Why me?" Instead, he chose to praise God, encourage others, smile, and give of himself even in the midst of his suffering.

Lance was a Christian who loved the Lord deeply and never wanted to miss church. He knew where his hope was found. He knew that Heaven was his eternal home and that death has no sting for the child of God. (1 Corinthians 15:54–57)

He was a father, son, brother, uncle, and a best friend. Now, he is rejoicing in the presence of his Savior and reunited with his beloved mother, whom he so dearly longed to see.

"For to me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." -Philippians 1:21

Lance was preceded in death by his mother, Karen Wynn.

He is survived by his son, Camden Wynn of Richmond; six siblings, Jason Wynn of Morristown, TN; Chara Wynn of Richmond; Elizabeth Jones and husband, Preston, Harlan; Donald Wynn of Harlan; Adam Turner of Lexington; Donna Turner of Berea; his biological father, Donald Turner of Putney; several nieces and nephews; as well as a host of extended family and friends.

His visitation will be held Friday, August 14, 2026, at the Evarts Funeral Home beginning at 4 pm with his funeral service to follow at 5 pm.  Pastor Preston Jones will officiate.
