Larry Wayne Fields, 76, of Wallins, passed away Saturday, October 7, 2023, at the Saint Joseph Hospital in Lexington. Born October 14, 1946 in Whitesburg, he was a truck driver for Bekins Van Lines, Inc. for over 40 years and believed in the Pentecostal faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Clayton Fields and Lila Mae Barnett Blanton; two children, Merle and Vickie; and four brothers, Robert D. Blanton, Garry L. Fields, Bobby K. Fields and Fred Fields.

Larry is survived by his wife, Alice Hall Fields, Wallins; one son, Shywan Fields; six-step children, Jamie, Duke, Stephanie, Guy, Alisha and Kerry; three brothers, Clayton (Bud) Fields and wife, Arlene; Tommy C. Fields; and David R. Fields. Also surviving are several grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, October 13, 2023, in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home with funeral services starting at 1 p.m. with the Reverend Ronnie Brock officiating.

Burial will be in the Harlan County Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
