Larry Edward Murray, 71, of Harlan passed away Tuesday, May 6, 2025, at the Greg & Noreen Wells Hospice Care Center in Hazard. Born November 30, 1953 in Florida, he worked as a manager for several finance companies in Harlan and was a veteran of the U.S. Army. Larry was a Christian, loved his grandchildren, and spent his weekends out on the lake fishing with his special nephew, Conrad Thomas and special friend, Chris Couch.

Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Janet Creech Murray; his parents, Jay Murray and Agnus York Murray; one brother, Gary Murray; three sisters, Vickie Vuittonet, Paula Murray and Debbie Bibble; and two grandchildren, Caitlyn Gholson and Reina Senters.

Larry is survived by one daughter, Rachel Senters and husband, Joshua, Loyall; one brother, Andy Murray, Indiana; one sister, Donna Murray, Mississippi; three grandchildren, Samatha Gholson, Joshua Senters and Trinity Senters; and two special sisters-in-law, Becky Thomas and Kathy Pyles.

Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2025, in the chapel of the Loyall Funeral Home with a graveside service following at 2 p.m. with the Reverend Bradley Guthrie officiating. Burial will be in the Harlan County Memorial Gardens with Military rites to be performed by the Harlan Honor Guard.
