Larvoedia Prinkleton, 92, of Lynch, Kentucky, passed away on October 17, 2024. She was born on October 13, 1932, the only daughter of the late Arder George Prinkleton, Sr and Mary Bell Todd Prinkleton. Larvoedia, affectionately known as "Sister', was the eldest of six children. Sister was known for her delicious baked goods, especially her caramel cake.

Sister was a member of the First Missionary Baptist Church of Lynch, KY. As a First Missionary Baptist Church member, she played the piano for the church choir. Her faith was a guiding force in her life.

Sister graduated from the Lynch Colored School in 1951. She continued her education at Selma University, earning her Associate Degree in History. She also attended Alabama State University. Sister was employed as a substitute teacher in the Benham-Lynch School System. Her most important role was as a caregiver to her parents for over 40 years.

Sister was preceded in death by her parents, Mary Bell and Arder George Prinkleton, Sr, and her brothers, Arder George Prinkleton, Jr and Virgil Prinkleton, Jr. Remaining to cherish 's memory are her brothers, Felix Prinkleton (Gwen-deceased), Wilbert Prinkleton, Sr (Miye), Victor Prinkleton. Additionally, she leaves behind her sister-in-law, Irene Prinkleton (Virgil-deceased), and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends who will continue to honor her memory.

Additionally, a special thank you to Virgil Prinkleton, Jr. for being a constant presence and assisting and caring for Sister.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2024, at 11 am at Greater Mt Sinai Baptist Church, 409 First Street in Lynch, KY. Funeral services will immediately follow at noon, with Reverend Victor Prinkleton officiating. Interment will follow at Monte Vista Cemetery in Cumberland, with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
