LeeEarl Rigney, 73, of Middlesboro departed this life on Monday, August 22, 2022, at his home following a sudden illness.  Born November 19, 1948, he was a native of Harlan County.  LeeEarl had been living in Middlesboro for a number of years where he loved spending time with his friends and classmates at the Just Family Adult Day Care in Middlesboro.  He also enjoyed fishing and believed in the Baptist faith.

LeeEarl is preceded in death by his parents, Clyde Rigney and Dollie Lynch Rigney; a brother, David "Hot Shot" Rigney; and two sisters, Mary Lou Furgerson and Dottie Sue Rigney.

Survivors include several nieces and nephews, Tina Furgerson, Redbud; Angela Shular and husband, Jody, Kenvir; Danny Ray Furgerson, Georgia; Pam Middleton and husband, Mike, Putney; Barbara King and fiancé, Trevor Tackett, Redbud; Billy Wayne Furgerson and wife, Veronica, Sweetwater, TN; and a host of other family and friends.

His visitation will be held at the Evarts Funeral Home Thursday, August 25, 2022, beginning at 11 am with funeral service to follow at 1 pm.  The Reverend Don Johnson will officiate.

Burial will follow in the Evarts Memorial Gardens with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
