Linda Sue Sargent, 53, of Ages, departed this life on Monday, October 30, 2023, at the UK Hospital in Lexington following a long illness.  Linda was born on July 3, 1970 in Harlan.  She was a former cook for the Ages Headstart and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Sargent; her father, Marvin Short; and a sister, Regina Peace.

Survivors include her mother, Virginia Fields Crusenberry, Redbud; four children, Heather Logan and husband, Johnny; Jason Sargent and girlfriend, Mona Brock; Darrell Sargent and girlfriend, Kayla; and Callie Sargent, all of Ages; a sister, Geneva Crusenberry, Rose Hill, VA; and a brother, Richard Crusenberry, Redbud.  Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Bridgette, Gunnar, Gabriella, Layla, Jamie, Josh, Tori and Kayden; and a host of other family and friends.

Linda's visitation will be held at the Turner Missionary Baptist Church in Verda after 5 pm Thursday until the funeral hour of 2 pm on Friday, November 3, 2023.  The Reverend Bill Moore will officiate.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband at the Sargent Family Cemetery at Ages.  Her family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
