Lonnie Joe Tippett, age 44, of Cumberland, Kentucky, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, March 31, 2024, in Cumberland.

Born on December 27, 1979, in Harlan County, to Doyle and Judy (Hale) Tippett, Lonnie completed the Tippett family, joining big brother, Ronnie. Lonnie grew up in Cumberland and graduated from Cumberland High School. He was a wonderful, friendly man that loved his family more than anything. He was generous and compassionate and would give you the shirt from his back, should it be needed. His absence leaves a huge void in the hearts of those who loved him.

Lonnie is preceded in death by his father, Doyle Glen Tippett; his brother, Ronnie Wayne Tippett; and four uncles: Roger Hale, Jeff Hale, Lowell Hale, and David Hale.

Left to cherish Lonnie's memory is his wife, Joni Jones Tippett; his mother, Judy Hale Tippett; his two daughters: Cameron Brock and Destiney Tippett; a granddaughter, Avaleigh Blas; his grandmother, Fanny Tippett; uncles and aunts: Larry and Shirley Tippett, Roy and Juanita Tippett, Don and Connie Tippett; aunt, Lisa Sisk, Sandy Tippett; mother-in-law, Charlotte Browning; a host of cousins, extended relatives, and many friends.
