Ms. Margaret Ann Davis, age 76, of Bowling Green, Kentucky, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at the Hospice House of Southern Kentucky in Bowling Green.

Margaret was born in Louellen, KY, on December 14, 1947. She graduated from the Louisville Male High School in 1966 and furthered her education taking courses at Georgetown College. She graduated from Spalding University and went on to have a distinguished career working for the Kentucky government, including time spent as a speech writer for four democratic governors. She was an avid book reader and enjoyed books of all genres.

Margaret was preceded in death by her father, Nolan Ernest Davis.  Those left to cherish her memory are her son, Chris Lewis, of Edmonton, KY; sister, Jean Davis Tucker and husband, Daniel, and their children: Dawn Steimer, William Tucker, Justin Tucker; sister, Edith Davis Shelburne and husband, James, and their children: Melissa Zaegel, Linda Jaini, Diana Shelburne; a host of extended relatives and many dear friends.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024, at 1:00pm at Resthaven Cemetery in Baxter, Kentucky.  A memorial service for family and friends will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, Margaret's family requests that donations be made to the Markey Cancer Center at the University of Kentucky located in Lexington.
