Margaret Annetta Nunley Puente, 79, of Kenvir departed this life on Sunday, May 21, 2023, at her home. Margaret was born in Kenvir on July 8, 1943 to the late Maggie Dykes Nunley and the late Charles Nunley.  She had lived in Chicago most of her adult life before moving back to Kenvir.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Ova Middleton; her second husband, Porfilio Puente; five sisters, Wilsie Hammonds, Bernice Wheeler, Mable Brooks, Irene West and Bonnie Nunley; and three brothers, James Nunley, Ed Nunley and Ralph Nunley.

Survivors include three children, Tina Middleton, Kenvir; Rhonda O'Rourke and husband, Jack, Kenvir; and David Puente, Kenvir; a granddaughter, Kayla O'Rourke; and other family and friends.

A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 25, 2023, at 7 pm at the Evarts Funeral Home with the Reverend Bill Moore officiating.  The family will receive friends from 5 pm until the service time.

She will be laid to rest at the Evarts Memorial Gardens at a later date.
